Challenge Playfields

There are sixteen playfields on each of the 40 levels. The last playfield on every level is a Challenge Playfield – a bonus playfield designed to reward you for fast puzzle solving skills. You will be awarded 50,000 bonus points for completing each Challenge Playfield within 30 seconds. However, if you do not complete the Challenge Playfield you can either try again or continue on to the next level. There is no penalty for not completing the Challenge Playfields which in some cases are very difficult.

Remember that on many Challenge Playfields you will have to use the Gem Drop feature several times. Also, you will find yourself using the Undo feature often. In order to be most effective, you will need to learn the shortcuts for the Gem Drop and Undo features:

Gem Drop: Middle mouse click-or-Down arrow key on your keyboard

Undo: Right mouse click

You can play through all 40 Challenge Playfields in succession by turning on the respective radio button in the Settings menu. That is, click on the Settings button on the title page. Then, turn Challenge Playfields Only to On. Press Done in the Settings menu. Now start a new game from the title screen by selecting New Player. High scores and levels reached will not be saved when Challenge Playfields Only is set to On.

  1. Remove the yellow gems.
